"We took our first family vacation to Caye Caulker with our two year old son and it couldn't have been better thanks to Ruby and Kim at Caye Caulker Rentals. We stayed at the Coconut Grove House which is a quiet and relaxing haven on the south side of the island. Amazing sunsets, ocean breezes, and rustling palms in a secluded coconut grove just a quick bike ride or nice walk into the main area of town. Ruby and Kim went the extra mile to make it a great and stress free trip for us by organizing a travel crib for our son to sleep in, having our rental bikes with child seat out at the house the night we arrived so we wouldn't have to trek in the next morning to pick them up, and having taxis to meet us both at the airport in Belize City as well as to pick us up when we got to the island, take us to the grocery store, and point out the key spots before taking us to our island home. It was paradise, and without having to worry about all the little details, we could truly enjoy our precious time away from our hectic city lives. Kim recommended all the best restaurants on the island and gave us all the information we needed to have a safe and wonderful time on Caye Caulker. I can't wait to go back and I highly recommend using Caye Caulker rentals especially if its your first time to Belize since they are so knowledgeable and genuine."

The cottage that we rented was ideally located on the south side of Caye Caulker where we enjoyed a constant breeze, privacy, and a quiet beach front. The cottage was clean and well kept. The management, in particular Kim Laursen, answered all of our questions and made sure we had everything that we needed during our stay. Caye Caulker Rentals responded promptly to our emails when trying to book our cottage, which made making reservations very easy. They arranged for an airport shuttle when we landed as well as bikes for us to use on the Caye. Kim also had great recommendations for snorkeling and eating while on the Caye. Overall, we were very pleased and look forward to booking with Caye Caulker rentals again."

Your driver, Tyrone, picked us up right on time at the Belize City Municipal Airport and was very helpful in getting us over to the Marine Terminal for our water taxi. He's a keeper. I certainly did not expect that you would be there at the dock in Caye Caulker to greet us, but what a wonderful surprise! Check in was a breeze. Never so easy! It was nice to visit with you while on vacation. Not something we normally do, so that tells you how much we appreciated your company.

"Kathy and I spent our vacation at the Alta Vista house on Caye Caulker. We enjoyed the entire trip from beginning to end.
Alta Vista is a wonderful house in a serene and lovely setting; well cared for by the owners, Annette and John. We liked the out-of-the-way location, only a short bike ride from restaurants and groceries yet, in a quiet neighborhood.
After purchasing staples and groceries it was easy to set up housekeeping and to cook meals as we wished. The house is designed with good ventilation in mind and we only used the air conditioner occasionally. We especially enjoyed the multiple decks on the house-on three different levels. The roof deck is a wonderful place to enjoy a cuppa in the morning or to relax and watch the sunset of an evening. I especially enjoyed the 2nd floor deck on the east to sit and strum guitar in the afternoon.
Kim was a good communicator from beginning to end. On the first day, he gave us a briefing outlining realistic expectations and how best to integrate into the flow of the island culture. Kim went out of his way to help me acquire a guitar during my stay; in fact, he went so far as to offer his own valuable instrument if he couldn’t come up with one to rent.
The local population are universally friendly, helpful, and above all, patient with all the Newbies/Shoebies invading their beaches each week. I can only say that they must dread Sundays and Mondays-lots of silly questions to answer for the first couple of days from the new arrivals."

Beachside Cottage Rental Guestbook
"My wife and I returned to the Beachside Cottage after an 8-year absence in order to celebrate our 10th anniversary. In the intervening years, the cottage has been nicely upgraded; new floors, 2 bicycles, A/C in the bedroom, security bars on the windows, and a bathroom remodel. There is also a security guard (Cesar) employed on the weekends until midnight. As the cottage is south of the main strip and airport on Caye Caulker, it is nice and secluded, just as my wife and I like. The addition of the security measures really have removed any worries of being bothered though retained the peaceful atmosphere that keeps bringing us back. I would highly recommend this little piece of paradise if you are in the more "mature" age group and appreciate your privacy. Kim Laursen really provided personalized service, and all of the people on the island go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. Next time we're bringing the kids. Thanks!

"Carolyn’s House was perfect for us. It was far enough away from the main town, but not too far away that we were worn out from walking. The people were friendly and the food was great. Kim was very helpful in regards to the house and helping us with information for side excursions. Chris enjoyed his morning catching Barracuda with Ash, who then cooked dinner for us with the fish Chris caught. We loved our diving/snorkeling experience with Scuba Sensations (Bert), another suggestion from Kim. Overall, a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Caye Caulker to anyone wanting to relax."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Caye Caulker. Carolyn's House was in a great location, convenient to town but away from the main traffic areas and right on the water. It was very clean, well kept and comfortable and we spent many hours sitting on the front deck enjoying the breeze and the view. Kim's advice and recommendations on activities and restaurants was well appreciated and always spot-on. He also helped set up day trips to the main land for cave tubing, zip-lining and sight-seeing.
We truly can't say enough great things about our stay, we were so reluctant to return home, and we look forward to our next visit. We will definitely go through Caye Caulker Rentals in the future and would recommend them to anyone thinking about visiting Belize. "

"My boyfriend and I stayed at "Carolyn's House" on Caye Caulker for five nights. We had a fabulous time enjoying the gorgeous view, adorable house and convenient access to the neighbors dock right out front. Kim and Ruby were very nice and helpful with booking and getting us settled into our beach bungalow. We felt that Carolyn's house was close enough to easily walk or ride bikes to the main drag but also far enough away to give us peace and quiet when we wanted. Our rental was clean and comfortable, the view was spectacular and the reasonable price was well worth it. I highly recommend Caye Caulker Rentals to anyone planning to stay on Caye Caulker and I will book with them again when we go back."

"We can't recommend Carolyn's House enough. It is perfectly designed, with windows on all four sides letting in a lovely cooling breeze. The exterior and interior are beautifully finished and the shower was the best shower experience we've ever had during our extensive Central & South America travels. It is far enough down the beach to be away from the hustle & bustle of the town, yet still a comfortable stroll away, and we spent many relaxing hours on the veranda reading, greeting the occasional passers by and just taking in the amazing sea-and-palm-tree view."

"We just came back from our best vacation ever!!! We spent 14 days on Caye Caulker at Casa Amancier which we rented through Caye Caulker Rentals. Kim who owns and operates Caye Caulker Rentals was amazing and took great care of us from start to finish from the first contact through emails all the way until the day we checked out. He was available and helpful to ensure we had what we needed throughout our stay and his local knowledge and recommendations were never disappointing. Being our first visit to Belize and Caye Caulker Kim had someone meet us at the airport (Jason, great guy!!) and take us to the water taxi in Belize city and then he personally met us at the water taxi dock (with Fred to take our bags to our place) once we arrived on Caye Caulker and got us checked in. It was nice to have a few friendly faces waiting for us to make us feel comfortable and get acclimated to our new surroundings. The service that Kim and Caye Caulker Rentals provided was above and beyond and added a nice personal feel that set the tone for our great stay on the island. "We spent our honeymoon at the Coconut Grove on Caye Caulker. We enjoyed our stay and accommodations so much we knew that when we started planning our second trip; the accommodations would be the easiest part of our planning. Simple, go to Caye Caulker Rental's web site, pick out where you wish to stay, send email, call with deposit; done!
We chose to stay at the Casita Carinosa on this trip as the layout could accommodate our diverse group; consisting of a married couple, a single gentleman and two ladies. The Casita Carinosa has a main house with a living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and bath. The other two bedrooms are accessed via doors on the veranda and share a bath. A key is issued to those who are staying in these rooms so they have access to the main house and common areas as well.
When we arrived in Caye Caulker (after flying into Tropical Storm Alex) we were taxied to the rental office - paid for our accommodations, then off to the house. EASY! We found the house in perfect condition - extremely clean. The bathrooms were spotless. Thank You, Consuela! The bedrooms have space enough for folded / hanging clothes and luggage. All bedrooms are MORE THAN adequately air conditioned. After a long day on the water it was really nice to crawl into those fancy sheets! The pool is kept exceptionally clean - almost to the point of obsession. Seemed everytime we saw even a leaf in the pool - the next thing we saw was Dion (pool caretaker) or Amanda.
Ruby & Kim did not disappoint us - the fridge/freezer was stocked with a case of Belikin, a bottle of One Barrel rum and coke - EXACTLY what we had asked for!
The free wifi service was such a bonus and was appreciated by all. All of us commented on how safe we felt at the Casita Carinosa.
During our stay we met the couple staying at Amanda's Place, Bruce & Kaz and took the opportunity to check out their digs too. Very nice! As a matter of fact, we are emailing and Face Booking each other all the time. We are even planning a trip to California to go visit them and meet up again in Caye Caulker.
Bet you know where we will all be staying! That's right.. any property Caye Caulker Rentals has to offer. As the old saying goes, 'It doesn't get any better than this!'

"This quiet cabana on stilts features its own outdoor shower, beautiful hardwood floors and furnishings. It is quiet and private with a great ocean view from the balcony, which was always breezy and bug-free. House windows were all screened so bugs were not a problem at all. Recommend for anyone looking for a quiet get-away. We especially enjoyed the bookshelf and scrabble game. Only wish we had stayed longer."

"Our first trip to Belize and Caye Caulker was truly made easier and welcome by the efforts of Kim. We were met by a taxi- then taken to water taxi to the Caye - and even met in a squall by Kim himself to make sure we got to the house safely. Our week stay at the Sunrise House was exactly what we were looking for. A restful, peaceful, tropical vibe. The house is located at the quiet south end of the island. Having the bikes to use, made it a enjoyable 10 minute ride to town to resupply, eat, or whatever. The house is simple and clean, and has most all what you may need. The porches and dock out front were our favorite places to hang out. The dock, being out over the water was great. You can swim, snorkle, sunbath, and fish from there. I caught a yellow tail snapper. Kim, Victor, and Cesar made sure our stay was safe and their help made our time at Caye Caulker awesome."
"Henry and I had a wonderful honeymoon in Caye Caulker. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for making our trip so memorable with your great suggestions and recommendations.
We had a great time at Sunrise Beach Cottage. We enjoyed a lot of peace and quiet, as the cottage was a little ways from the center of town. It was a great secluded spot and we appreciated the privacy. To our surprise, the cottage boasted some nice amenities besides the obvious, most notably the deadbolt and air conditioning in the main bedroom, which allowed us to safely stow our passports/extra money and sleep well at night. It also had a television, which was nice when you felt like it. The kitchen was functional and we were able to make coffee and breakfast and lunch to save some money.
The cottage had an unbelievable view from the deck on the second floor. It also lived up to its name, as the sunrise over the private dock was amazing. As an unexpected surprise, we also enjoyed spending many nights on the deck and dock on our backs staring at the beautiful stars and full moon, or watching big fluffy clouds roll in.
In general Caye Caulker was a funky and vibrant little town. We enjoyed both our snorkeling trips. We highly recommend Juni's Sail and Snorkel for those who are serious about the ocean and its wildlife. He has a profound respect and connection with the ocean out there. For those who are looking for a more fun and relaxed snorkeling trip, we also had a great time with Raggamuffin Tours. We even enjoyed our own self guided kayak tour of the split. Additionally, the food in Caye Caulker was very good, with extremely fresh fish and lobster abundant. We followed the advice we were given and hit up Rose's (twice!), Habaneros, and Don Corleon's during our stay.
The honeymoon was a huge success. Henry and I left rested and rejuvenated, albeit a little sunburnt. We won't forget our trip to Caye Caulker and would love to return again!"

"This is the most luxurious home on the island. WE LOVED it here. Lennie & Bill were fantastic, even arranging for fresh lobster tails to be delivered to our door. The house was very comfortable with aircon and good beds, the large kitchen was beautifully equipped. The pool was fantastic staying remarkably cool in the very hot weather plus you have your own private dock from which you can jump straight into the sea. Ben dived the Blue Hole which he thought was unbelievable. We loved the laid back life on Caye Caulker and hope to return one day."

"We stayed at this wonderful place two years before this property was remodeled, and it was amazing even then. The location couldn't be more perfect, just off the beaten path, if there is such a thing on Caye Caulker, and right on the water. If you were any closer to the water you would have to be floating! Facing east, it allows for breathtaking sunrises over the gulf, truly a signt to be seen. Everything is within a short stroll. Our trip to Caye Caulker was the best vacation we have ever taken and our stay at this unique and beautiful property was a big part of the experience. We couldn't recommend it higher!"
